A rare group of 8th-century monolithic temples carved out of a single sandstone ridge, reflected in a sacred pool.
The Masroor temples are a group of Nagara-style shrines carved from one piece of rock in the 8th century, a technique found in very few places in India. Often compared to the Kailasa temple at Ellora, the complex is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Climb the stairs to the rooftop for views of the Dhauladhars across the valley, and look for the reflection of the temples in the rectangular pool in front.
