A small, peaceful mountain lake near Naddi surrounded by tall deodar trees, with a small Shiva temple on its banks.
Not to be confused with the famous lake in Srinagar, Dharamshala's Dal Lake is a small lake near the village of Tota Rani, between McLeodganj and Naddi. It is ringed by deodar cedars and has a small Shiva temple on its bank.
The lake is a calm stop on the way to Naddi viewpoint, where the Dhauladhar range feels close enough to touch, especially at sunset. A local fair is held at the lake each year after the monsoon.
