A laid-back village above McLeodganj known for meditation centres, cosy cafés and the trailhead for the Triund trek.
Dharamkot is a quiet village perched above McLeodganj and Bhagsu, with views over the Kangra Valley. It is home to the Tushita Meditation Centre and the Dhamma Sikhara Vipassana centre, and attracts long-stay travellers with its yoga schools, guesthouses and cafés.
The Gallu Devi temple just above the village is the most common starting point for the Triund trek. Lanes in Dharamkot are steep and narrow, so cabs usually drop visitors at the main road.
